Concessions Supervisor

The Food & Beverage Supervisor will be working out of all Sodexo Live!

Northern Illinois University Stadium & Convocation Center.


The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that guests receive an exceptional level of service by supervising concessions staff and supporting the concessions operations at all points of sale. They will assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to staff and will monitor servers as they provide a variety of pre-made or fresh-to-order snacks, beverages and entrée items from Sodexo Live!’s menu. Their top priority will be to ensure that the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained.


They will circulate throughout assigned locations within the venue’s levels, decks and concourses to monitor service within kiosks, mobile stands, and/or permanent stand fixtures. They are responsible for ensuring that alcohol is being served responsibly throughout their assigned locations and for ensuring that Sodexo Live!’s standards for handing monetary transactions are consistently in place. The Food & Beverage Supervisor will plan and prepare in advance of games or events, will provide hands on supervision during events and will organize post-event closing and clean up.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support concessions staff in providing outstanding service to all customers.
  • Manage location inventory, including restocking food items and supplies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Supervise concessions team and ensure they are following proper procedures for food and beverage service.
  • Coordinate with warehouse team to ensure timely delivery and presentation of food items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the concession's locations.
  • Ensure that quality and safety standards are maintained.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality management is a plus.
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a hospitality or stadium environment.
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience in a fast-paced foodservice facility preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages and experience with responsible beverage service practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to promote and participate in a team environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.


Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
