Position Summary
Sodexo Live! at L&N Stadium, home of the Louisville Cardinals, is seeking hardworking and dependable Room Setup / Banquet / Event Servers to join our hospitality team. This position is essential to the successful execution of events at the stadium, ensuring that all spaces are clean, organized, and properly prepared to create outstanding guest experiences.
The Room Setup / Banquet / Event Server is responsible for setting and removing furniture, maintaining cleanliness in all event and common areas, and providing professional banquet and event service. Staff in this role must be available to work all University of Louisville football home games and concerts, as well as other major stadium events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Room Setup & Breakdown
- Set up and remove furniture including tables, chairs, sofas, and staging according to floor plans and event requirements.
- Arrange linens, place settings, and décor as directed.
- Assist with audio/visual or specialty equipment setup when required.
- Break down rooms after events and return furniture and equipment to storage areas.
- Event Service
- Provide prompt, courteous food and beverage service during banquets, meetings, and special events.
- Replenish buffets, beverages, and supplies as needed.
- Anticipate guest needs and deliver professional, attentive service.
- Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean and maintain event and common areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and wiping surfaces.
- Remove trash and recycling before, during, and after events.
- Assist with restroom upkeep and ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized environment throughout the facility.
- General
- Work collaboratively with Sodexo Live! catering, culinary, and event management teams to deliver seamless events.
- Adhere to company safety, sanitation, and hospitality standards at all times.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior banquet, event, custodial, or food and beverage service experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, guest-focused attitude.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move furniture and event equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Flexible schedule with mandatory availability for all Louisville football home games, concerts, and major stadium events, in addition to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced stadium environment.
Work Environment
- Event settings include banquet halls, premium suites, clubs, lounges, conference rooms, and concourses throughout the stadium.
- Frequent physical activity including moving furniture, cleaning, and event setup/breakdown.
- Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and attention to detail.
