Facilities & Maintenance Technician
Chick-fil-A Palm Coast & Seminole Woods | Full-Time
Position Overview
Chick-fil-A Palm Coast & Seminole Woods is seeking a dependable, mechanically skilled Facilities & Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and preventative care of our two restaurant locations.
This is not primarily a custodial or cleaning position. We are looking for someone who already has hands-on maintenance experience, basic technical knowledge, and strong troubleshooting skills.
You will work directly alongside our experienced Facilities Director, assisting with day-to-day repairs, preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and larger facility projects. While previous experience is required, this position also provides a unique opportunity to continue developing your skills across multiple trades and commercial building systems.
For the right individual, this is intended to be a long-term career opportunity with significant growth potential and progressively greater ownership of our facilities operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair common facility and equipment issues.
- Perform general electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and building repairs within appropriate training and licensing requirements.
- Complete preventative maintenance across both restaurant locations.
- Troubleshoot commercial restaurant equipment and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Assist the Facilities Director with repairs, installations, improvement projects, and preventative maintenance.
- Proactively identify facility and equipment concerns before they result in operational disruptions.
- Maintain and organize tools, replacement parts, maintenance supplies, and work areas.
- Assist with basic maintenance of company vehicles and exterior facilities as needed.
- Determine when repairs can appropriately be completed in-house and when a specialized or licensed vendor is required.
- Work with approved vendors and Chick-fil-A resources on specialized repairs when necessary.
- Maintain documentation of completed repairs, preventative maintenance, and outstanding facility needs.
- Respond to urgent maintenance needs that may occasionally occur outside normal business hours.
- Continue developing technical knowledge and progressively assume greater responsibility within the Facilities department.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, general maintenance, construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical repair, equipment repair, automotive, or another related trade.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
- Comfortable using common hand tools, power tools, meters, and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to assess a problem, identify potential causes, and determine appropriate next steps without requiring constant direction.
- Willingness and ability to learn commercial restaurant equipment and Chick-fil-A-specific facility standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing repairs correctly and safely.
- Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to safely operate company vehicles.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and perform the physical requirements associated with maintenance work.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
Schedule & Availability
This position requires full-time, flexible availability based on the maintenance needs of our restaurants.
Sunday availability is required. While Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed to guests on Sundays, this provides an important opportunity to complete larger repairs, preventative maintenance, installations, and projects without disrupting restaurant operations.
Candidates must also be willing to work occasional early mornings, evenings, late nights, or overnight projects when necessary and be available to respond to on-call or emergency facility needs outside of normal working hours.
Why Join Our Team?

A Long-Term Career Opportunity
We aren't simply looking for someone to complete a list of maintenance tasks.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in understanding how and why things work, enjoys troubleshooting problems, and wants to continue developing their technical abilities.
This position will work closely with our Facilities Director to learn our buildings, equipment, preventative maintenance systems, vendors, and Chick-fil-A facility standards. Over time, the right individual will be expected to take increasing ownership of the maintenance and facilities needs of both restaurant locations.
If you're mechanically inclined, already have a foundation in maintenance or the skilled trades, and want an opportunity to continue learning while building a long-term career, we'd like to meet you.
