Evening Dishwasher & Kitchen Support

Pay: $14–$16/hour

Schedule: Evening Shifts (Typically 2:00pm–11:45pm)

Position Summary

The Evening Dishwasher is a critical part of our kitchen operations, ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly during our busiest dinner hours. You will be responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes, maintaining a clean and safe dish area, and supporting the kitchen by restocking essential items, assisting with trash removal, and helping close down kitchen workstations. This role is fast-paced, hands-on, and vital to our mission of serving guests with excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Dishwashing & Sanitation

• Operate the dish machine and 3-compartment sink according to Chick-fil-A and ServSafe standards.
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize:
• Dishes, trays, baskets, and utensils
• Pots, pans, and large cookware
• Cutting boards, mixing bowls, smallwares
• Inspect all items to ensure they are free of debris, soap, and grease before returning to service.
• Maintain proper chemical levels and water temperature logs during shift.
• Keep dish area clean, organized, and hazard-free at all times.
• Restocking & Kitchen Support
• Restock all cleaned dishes, smallwares, trays, pans, and utensils to their designated shelves and stations.
• Refill BOH stations as needed, including:
• Chicken breading pans
• Prep bowls and lids
• Tongs, spatulas, and utensils
• Clean Cambros, drain pans, and fryer components
• Assist cooks and prep team with bringing clean items back into rotation quickly.
• Refill paper goods, sanitizer buckets, gloves, wipes, and kitchen towels as needed.
• Help restock walk-in or dry storage items during slower moments.
• Assist with receiving and organizing nightly deliveries if working later shifts.

Closing Tasks

• Assist with kitchen closing responsibilities including:
• Sweeping, mopping, and detailing dish area
• Wiping down stainless steel, counters, and sinks
• Taking out trash, recycling, and breaking down boxes
• Cleaning dish machine filters and drains
• Ensure all areas are left clean, sanitized, and stocked for the morning team.
• Food Safety & Safety Standards
• Follow all Chick-fil-A food safety policies and ServSafe sanitation procedures.
• Maintain safe chemical handling and storage.
• Keep floors dry and free from clutter to prevent slips/falls.
• Properly label and store clean equipment and utensils.

Requirements

• Must be 16+ years old
• Ability to lift 40 lbs consistently
• Able to stand for 6+ hours and work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed

Preferred Qualities

• Previous kitchen, dishwashing, or BOH experience helpful but not required
• Strong sense of urgency
• Team-first mindset and willingness to take initiative
• Ability to work calmly under pressure
