Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in operating forklift safely and efficiently, with an understanding of load limits and material handling best practices
- Demonstrated ability to review order forms, verify order accuracy, and scan and transport correct materials while actively operating a forklift in a production environment.
- Ability to handle large, bulky, and fragile unpalletized corrugated materials
- Able to safely drive a forklift backwards with large, unpalletized loads in tight spaces for most of the shift
- Experience using a forklift with roll clamps to move large paper rolls safely is a plus.
- Knowledge of warehouse layout, storage systems, and material flow
- Basic inventory handling and documentation skills, along with
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow safety procedures and standard operating instructions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, stack, and maneuver materials
- Ability to stand, bend, and operate machinery for extended periods
- Good hand–eye coordination and depth perception
