Position Overview:
As a Shift Leader, you’ll play a key role in leading the team, managing shifts, and ensuring that every aspect of the restaurant runs
smoothly. You’ll provide direction and support to both front-of-house and back-of-house staff, while maintaining Dog Haus’ high standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Motivate the team to provide excellent guest service and create a positive work environment.
- Oversee daily shift operations, including opening and closing duties.
- Ensure that food is prepared to Dog Haus standards, and that service is quick and efficient.
- Monitor and manage cash handling, inventory, and supplies.
- Assist in training new employees and ensure Dog Haus compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
- Troubleshoot any operational or guest issues that arise during your shift.
- Maintain communication with management to ensure smooth transitions between shifts and effective operation of the restaurant.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in the restaurant industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- 1-2 years of restaurant or supervisory experience preferred.
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
- Knowledgeable of restaurant operations, including safety and sanitation practices.
