Summary
The Accountant I is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll for both hourly and salaried employees. This role assists in maintaining payroll records, auditing time and attendance data, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of payroll workflows
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Collect, calculate, and accurately enter payroll data into ADP Workforce Now.
• Assist with biweekly payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees.
• Review and audit employee timesheets; collaborate with employees and managers to resolve discrepancies.
• Audit and reconcile PTO accruals and balances.
• Process payroll-related updates in ADP, including pay rate changes, job title updates, employee classifications, and deductions.
• Assist with garnishments, payroll tax filings, and multi-state payroll registrations.
• Support payroll-related projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and payroll data.

Skills and Qualifications
• 1–2 years of experience using ADP Workforce Now.
• At least 1 year of payroll processing experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• High level of accuracy with strong auditing and analytical skills.
• Well-organized and deadline-driven, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
