Team Leader - Back of House

The Back of House Team Leader is a kitchen-level leader who keeps operations running efficiently, safely, and with consistency every shift. This role leads with purpose — directing the kitchen team, maintaining food safety standards, managing prep and inventory systems, and ensuring quality never takes a back seat to speed. You'll help create a BOH environment where the team is proud of what they produce and every guest receives the same great experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

•     Lead the kitchen team during your shift, directing prep, production, and cleanliness with confidence.

•     Ensure food safety standards are met every shift through Food Safety Assessments, Recipe/Service Assessments, and temperature checks.

•     Manage inventory, prep forecasting, truck orders, and waste tracking.

•     Serve as a key holder; open and/or close the restaurant as scheduled.

•     Keep the kitchen reset and running smoothly through every daypart transition.

•     Support catering orders and ensure on-time delivery with the right quality.

•     Coach team members in real time and help build a kitchen culture grounded in care and accountability.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

•     A natural kitchen leader who thrives under pressure and keeps the team focused.

•     Detail-oriented and committed to food safety, quality, and cleanliness.

•     Available 30+ hours per week including weekends, with flexibility to open and/or close.

•     Strong communicator who can give direction, receive feedback, and resolve issues quickly.

•     Reliable transportation to report to work consistently and on time.

•     Previous kitchen or team leadership experience preferred, but not required.

•     Alignment with Chick-fil-A's mission, values, and operational standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & SCHEDULE

•     Must be available to work weekends (Saturday availability required).

•     Ability to lift and carry 10–40 lbs on a regular basis.

•     Ability to stand for extended periods of time throughout each shift.

•     Willingness to work in warm kitchen environments and outdoors in all weather conditions as needed.

•     Must maintain a flexible schedule to support restaurant operations across all dayparts.

•     Reliable transportation required.
