Qualified Medication Aide

Position Summary:

Coordinate resident care related to medications by working with all departments, the medical community, families and administrative staff and proved for residents needs within the scope of practice.

Qualifications:

• 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• valid Qualified Medication Aide Certificate
• CPR and First Aid certified.
• speak and write the English language

Responsibilities:

• Resident Charts – keeping documentation current
• Communicate resident status changes
• Ensure all medication documentation is current and accurate
• Shift to shift narcotic counts
• Ensure medication room is completely stocked with all required meds
• Coordinate medication orders and delivers with the pharmacies
• Maintains knowledge of and practices writing the guidelines of state specific Qualified Medication Aide scope of practice
