As a Front Counter Assistant Closing Manager, you will play a key role in leading the front-of-house team, delivering excellent hospitality, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring the restaurant is properly closed and prepared for the following day.

Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and support the Front Counter team during the closing shift.
- Set clear expectations and assign positions based on business needs.
- Train and develop Front of House Team Members.
- Provide real-time feedback, encouragement, and accountability.
- Lead by example through a positive attitude, strong work ethic, hospitality, and professionalism.
- Help create a culture where Team Members feel valued, supported, and motivated to perform at their best.
Guest Experience
- Provide exceptional hospitality and ensure guests receive friendly, accurate, and efficient service.
- Monitor guest experience, speed of service, and order accuracy.
- Respond professionally to guest questions, concerns, and complaints.
- Maintain a welcoming and positive environment through the final guest of the night.
- Model Chick-fil-A's commitment to serving others with excellence.
Front of House Operations
- Coordinate and oversee Front of House operations during the assigned shift, which includes Drive Thru, Front Counter, and Dining Room.
- Ensure proper deployment of Team Members and adjust positions as business needs change.
- Work closely with the kitchen and leadership team to maintain smooth restaurant operations.
- Monitor product availability and communicate needs to the appropriate leader.
- Ensure restaurant procedures and operational standards are consistently followed.
- Assist with catering orders and ensure orders are accurately prepared and fulfilled.
- Monitor dining room, front counter, drive thru, and guest-facing areas throughout the shift.
Cash & Security
- Follow all cash-handling procedures and restaurant policies.
- Ensure Team Members follow appropriate register and cash-handling procedures.
- Complete or oversee required closing procedures involving registers and cash.
- Report discrepancies or concerns to the appropriate leader.
- Ensure doors, equipment, and other areas are secured according to restaurant closing procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding restaurant operations, cash, and other sensitive information.
Closing Operations
- Lead the restaurant team through the complete closing process.
- Assign, monitor, and verify completion of all closing responsibilities.
- Ensure the dining room, front counter, drive thru, restrooms, and other guest-facing areas are properly cleaned and organized.
- Ensure necessary supplies are restocked for the following day.
- Complete required closing checklists and documentation.
- Ensure equipment and work areas are properly cleaned and secured according to restaurant procedures.
- Ensure all Team Members complete their assigned responsibilities before leaving.
- Communicate any outstanding operational, maintenance, staffing, or guest-service issues to leadership.
- Leave the restaurant clean, organized, stocked, secure, and ready for the opening team.
Food Safety & Quality
- Complete Daily Safe Audits and ERQA responsibilities as assigned.
- Ensure Team Members follow food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant guidelines.
- Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Identify and address safety or sanitation concerns immediately.
- Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory and supplies.
- Ensure proper procedures are followed for food handling and restaurant equipment.
Accountability & Communication
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with Team Members and leadership.
- Hold Team Members accountable to established standards while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Communicate important shift information to the opening and leadership teams.
- Take ownership of the overall performance and success of the closing shift.
- Help identify opportunities to improve restaurant operations and the guest experience.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Availability for the following shift: 2:00 PM–11:00 PM.
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Well-versed in food safety and restaurant guidelines.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead and work effectively in an extremely busy environment.
- Ability to provide fast, friendly, and accurate service.
- A heart for Chick-fil-A values and a genuine desire to serve others with excellence.
- Ability to coach, motivate, and hold Team Members accountable.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on your feet for several hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to learn and follow Chick-fil-A operational standards and procedures.
