Front Counter Manager
Chick-fil-A The Shoppes at Bartlett is looking for a dependable, people-focused leader to join our Front of House leadership team as a Front Counter Manager.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can lead people while also managing the details that keep a shift running smoothly. Front Counter Managers work alongside Team Members, provide direction and coaching, respond to guest needs, and help ensure our Front of House operates with excellence.
You'll be expected to set the example—not simply give instructions. That means demonstrating strong hospitality, maintaining restaurant standards, making sound decisions, and helping Team Members develop their skills and confidence.
Lead the Team
One of the most important responsibilities of a Front Counter Manager is helping our people succeed.
In this role, you will:
- Set clear expectations for Front of House Team Members
- Coach Team Members throughout the shift and provide timely feedback
- Lead by example in hospitality, professionalism, urgency, and teamwork
- Reinforce Chick-fil-A service standards, including CORE 4 and Second Mile Service
- Assist with the training and development of new and advancing Team Members
- Support ongoing training and recertification as needed
- Recognize strong performance and address concerns appropriately
- Communicate performance or policy concerns to appropriate restaurant leadership
- Help resolve communication and teamwork breakdowns
- Build respectful, professional relationships with Team Members and fellow leaders
- Help create an environment where Team Members understand both what is expected and how to improve
Lead Front of House Operations
Front Counter Managers help oversee the execution of Front of House operations and may be trusted to run a shift when delegated by senior leadership.
Responsibilities may include:
- Creating and adjusting shift setup or deployment plans
- Positioning Team Members based on business needs and individual strengths
- Administering Team Member breaks
- Monitoring staffing and making appropriate labor adjustments when necessary
- Delegating responsibilities and following up on completion
- Assigning and counting down registers
- Providing change and completing approved register overrides
- Ensuring cash-handling and security procedures are followed
- Monitoring speed of service, order accuracy, cleanliness, and guest experience
- Ensuring Team Members maintain clean and stocked workstations
- Monitoring the dining room, restrooms, parking lot, and other guest areas
- Supporting Front of House execution across front counter, drive-thru, dining room, and order fulfillment
- Processing catering orders when needed
- Completing required operational tasks and documentation
- Following emergency procedures and food-safety expectations
- Performing additional leadership and operational responsibilities as needed
Qualified Front Counter Managers are also be responsible for opening or closing the restaurant in the absence of a senior manager after completing the appropriate training.

Front Counter Managers may:
- Respond to guest questions and concerns
- Resolve appropriate guest-service issues during the shift
- Issue approved refunds, Be Our Guest cards, or other service-recovery solutions
- Escalate complex situations to senior leadership when necessary
- Document guest concerns through the appropriate restaurant systems
- Help Team Members learn from guest feedback
- Look for opportunities to prevent recurring service issues

You should be able to:
- Keep Team Members engaged, positioned, and productive
- Coach new and developing Team Members
- Complete assigned leadership-development work
- Support Team Member training and development assignments
- Assist with periodic Team Member performance reviews as assigned
- Maintain strong operational standards throughout the shift
- Identify problems early and take appropriate action
- Balance hospitality, speed, accuracy, cleanliness, and team needs
- Support restaurant goals and assigned areas of responsibility
- Leave the shift organized and prepared for the team that follows
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have demonstrated leadership experience
- Be available to work a combination of days, nights, and weekends
- Be available to work up to approximately 35 hours per week
- Be available to work Saturdays based on restaurant scheduling needs
- Complete required leadership-development assignments
- Complete assigned training responsibilities for new and advancing Team Members
- Participate in Team Member performance reviews as assigned
- Be willing and able to learn restaurant systems, cash-management procedures, and applicable computer systems
- Be able to work indoors and outdoors as operational needs require
- Be able to remain on their feet for extended periods in a fast-paced restaurant environment
