At Chick-fil-A Austin Peay, Kitchen Team Members do more than prepare food. They develop valuable skills, contribute to a strong team, and help create an excellent experience for every guest.


No restaurant experience is required. We provide hands-on training, clear expectations, and opportunities to grow based on your performance and the needs of the restaurant. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare, cook, assemble, and stock food according to Chick-fil-A standards
  • Bread chicken by hand and operate grills, pressure fryers, and other kitchen equipment
  • Follow recipes, portion sizes, cooking procedures, and quality standards
  • Work with focus and urgency to keep orders moving during busy periods
  • Complete temperature checks and follow all food-safety procedures
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with Team Members and leaders
  • Keep workstations, equipment, floors, and storage areas clean and organized
  • Sweep, mop, wash dishes, remove trash, and complete assigned cleaning responsibilities
  • Unload deliveries and properly organize and store products
  • Greet and treat guests warmly whenever you interact with them
  • Support other Team Members and areas of the restaurant when needed

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • No previous restaurant experience required
  • Opening shifts may begin as early as 4:00 a.m. and end no later than 3:00 p.m.
  • Availability requirements will depend on the position and schedule agreed upon at hiring
  • Able to perform basic math and measurement tasks
  • Able to work safely around hot cooking equipment
  • Able to stand for periods of up to five hours
  • Able to bend, reach, walk, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
