Senior People Leader

Position Overview

The Senior People Lead is responsible for enhancing the overall team member experience by developing people, strengthening culture, and ensuring operational excellence through leadership. This role sets the tone for how we care for and develop our team, while driving consistency in training, scheduling, and leadership growth.

This leader plays a critical role in building a thriving, people-first culture that reflects our commitment to excellence, stewardship, inclusion, and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Member Experience & Culture

  • Champion a positive, people-first culture that promotes accountability, collaboration, and belonging
  • Ensure every team member is consistently demonstrating Chick-fil-A’s Core 4
  • Foster an environment where team members feel valued, supported, and developed

Leadership Development

  • Train, coach, and support Coaches and Shift Leads to ensure strong, consistent leadership
  • Manage and develop the leadership talent pipeline using tools like the Expression of Interest form
  • Conduct regular coaching conversations and performance evaluations

Scheduling & Operations

  • Oversee team member scheduling, including time-off approvals and daily shift alignment
  • Ensure proper staffing levels to support operational excellence
  • Maintain consistency and clarity in team communication

Training & Onboarding

  • Ensure all new team members receive a consistent and high-quality onboarding experience
  • Partner with the Development Team to provide ongoing feedback and improvement
  • Continuously evaluate and improve training systems

Performance & Accountability

  • Monitor and respond to key performance metrics (CEM, labor, engagement, retention)
  • Ensure team members receive consistent and meaningful feedback
  • Drive accountability at all levels of the team

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, coaching, and relational skills
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to lead with influence
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Passion for developing people and building culture
  • Alignment with Chick-fil-A values and mission


Work schedule

  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekend availability
  • Monday to Friday
