Working Hours: Regular hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Job Summary:


The Software Development Intern will support the internal development team by assisting with the design, development, testing, and documentation of software solutions that support business operations. This internship is designed to provide hands-on, real-world experience working alongside experienced developers on active projects. Interns will gain exposure to modern development workflows, AI-assisted coding tools, and collaborative engineering practices while contributing meaningful work in a supportive, learning-focused environment. This role is ideal for students or early-career technologists who are curious, motivated, and eager to build practical software engineering skills using tools such as Replit, OpenAI Codex, and Claude Code.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:


• Assist in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of internal applications and services under the guidance of senior developers.

• Write, review, and debug code using modern programming languages and frameworks appropriate to the team’s tech stack.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (Replit, Codex, Claude Code) to accelerate learning, prototyping, and implementation.

• Participate in code reviews, team stand-ups, and technical discussions to learn best practices and team standards.

• Help test and validate software features, identify bugs, and document findings.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including README files and basic design notes.

• Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and translate them into working solutions.

• Follow established development processes, security guidelines, and coding standards.

• Demonstrate professionalism, curiosity, and a willingness to learn new technologies and approaches.

• Adhere to the Company’s established policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: An ideal candidate will have experience with or understanding of:


• Basic understanding of programming concepts such as variables, control flow, functions, and object-oriented principles.

• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., C#, JavaScript, Python, or similar).

• Interest in or exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Replit, Codex, or Claude Code.

• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

• Reliable, organized, and able to manage time effectively.


On-the-job training and mentorship will be provided. Prior professional experience is not required._


Education and Experience: An ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:


• Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.


Working environment and physical requirements:


• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.

• Must be able to remain stationary.


Travel:


• Must be able to travel up to 20%.
