Work Location: Corporate Headquarters – North Charleston, SC


Working Hours: Regular hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Job Summary: The HRIS & Benefits Intern will support the Human Resources team, with a focus on HRIS operations and benefits administration within Paycor. This role provides hands-on experience in HR systems implementation, compliance tracking, benefits auditing, and payroll-related processes. The intern will work closely under the supervision of the Director of Benefits, Compensation, & Compliance to assist in improving processes, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting company-wide compliance efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or early-career professional interested in HR systems, benefits administration, compliance, and process improvement.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:


• Assist in the implementation of new HR processes and services within Paycor

• Support configuration updates, testing, and documentation of new workflows

• Help maintain data integrity through regular system audits and updates

• Document standard operating procedures related to HRIS functions

• Assist in high-level audits of existing insurance and benefit plans

• Support reconciliation of enrollment data and carrier information

• Help track and update outstanding compliance-related items in Paycor

• Maintain organized documentation for benefit plans and compliance records

• Update and monitor compliance tasks within Paycor to support regulatory adherence

• Assist with processing and tracking store-level garnishments

• Help ensure accurate recordkeeping for payroll-related adjustments

• Assist with special projects related to HR systems and benefits

• Provide administrative support to the Director of Benefits, Compensation & Compliance, as assigned

• Complete projects and other assigned duties by the Vice President of People & Culture and/or the Director of Benefits, Compensation & Compliance.

• Adhere to the Company’s established policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: An ideal candidate will have experience with or understanding of:


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.


Education and Experience: An ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:


• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field


Working environment and physical requirements:


• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.

• Must be able to remain stationary.


Travel:


• Must be able to travel up to 20%.
