Position Overview
The Front of House Shift Manager leads the guest experience during assigned shifts and is responsible for service execution, hospitality standards, team performance, and operational flow. You will set the tone for the dining room and drive thru, maintain high standards of service, and develop future leaders while ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience Leadership
- Ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and accurate service
- Model and uphold Chick-fil-A hospitality standards
- Monitor speed of service in drive thru, front counter, and mobile operations
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and care
- Create an environment where guests feel welcomed and valued
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, coach, and hold team members accountable to service standards
- Train and develop new hires through hands on leadership
- Provide clear direction and consistent feedback throughout each shift
- Foster a culture of urgency, teamwork, and positivity
- Identify high potential team members and help develop future leaders
Operational Excellence
- Oversee order accuracy, cash handling, and service flow
- Ensure cleanliness of dining room, restrooms, parking lot, and guest areas
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage shift deployment to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with Back of House leadership to ensure seamless operations
Shift Execution and Accountability
- Conduct pre-shift huddles to set expectations and motivate the team
- Open and or close the restaurant as a key holder
- Monitor labor and productivity throughout the shift
- Respond calmly and effectively during high volume periods
- Maintain organization and readiness across all guest facing areas
Culture and Brand Representation
- Model integrity, service, and excellence in all actions
- Promote a positive and encouraging team environment
- Represent Chick-fil-A Wilson in a professional and welcoming manner
Qualifications
- One to three years of leadership or management experience preferred
- Restaurant or hospitality experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to lead teams in fast paced, high volume environments
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Cash handling and guest service experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- College degree preferred
- Age 18 or older
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work Saturdays required Sundays off
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends

- Consistently deliver high guest satisfaction scores
- Meet or exceed speed of service benchmarks
- Develop team members who are cross trained and promotable
- Maintain strong cleanliness and food safety standards
- Create an engaged and hospitality driven Front of House team
