Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach instructors to deliver high-quality, individualized instruction in a group learning environment using the Mathnasium Method.
- Serve as the instructional leader on the floor by monitoring student engagement, productivity, and learning progress each session.
- Teach and tutor students in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery while ensuring strong conceptual understanding and confidence in math.
- Provide real-time guidance, feedback, and support to team members to maintain instructional consistency and professionalism.
- Communicate student progress, observations, and instructional needs with leadership and parents as appropriate.
- Support daily center operations by helping manage floor flow, organizing instructional materials, and maintaining a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Strong passion for math education and working with students in a supportive, student-centered environment
- Exceptional math proficiency through Calculus (required), with the ability to clearly explain concepts across K–12 math levels
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and team members
- Demonstrated leadership ability with the capacity to coach, guide, and support instructional staff
- Ability to balance instructional excellence with leadership and floor management responsibilities
- Eagerness to learn, model, and consistently implement the Mathnasium Method and teaching practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when monitoring student progress and learning plans
- Professionalism, reliability, and strong classroom/floor presence
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced academic environment
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead while working effectively as part of a team
All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.
Mathnasium locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees of Mathnasium Center Licensing, LLC ("Mathnasium"). Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Mathnasium. Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee center is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their center. If you are hired to work at a center, the franchisee will be your employer, not Mathnasium.
