Job Description
As Lead Bartender, you’ll oversee the daily operations of the bar, from staffing and inventory management to consistency and cleanliness. You’ll train and guide the bar team, ensure compliance with alcohol service laws, and support the Food and Beverage Manager in delivering outstanding service.
- Oversee daily bar operations, including opening, service, and closing.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages consistently.
- Train, mentor, and supervise bartenders.
- Manage inventory, track usage, and assist with ordering.
- Monitor costs, portion control, and waste to support profitability.
- Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and company policies.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Support drink menu development, promotions, and upselling initiatives.
- Assist with scheduling and staff performance feedback.
Qualifications / Expectations
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- 2+ years bartending experience, including 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service.
- Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Alcohol service certification (TIPS, ServSafe, or equivalent) required.
