Line Cook at Angry Crab Shack

Full-time & part-time Line Cooks. Immediate hire. Prefer experience, but will train the right individual. Must be able to read and speak basic English.

Vegetarians can also enjoy our vegetable and tofu options.

Responsibilities:

• Food production and plating for all restaurant functions
• Preparing food including weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to recipes
• Handling supplies and assisting with preps and pars
• Checking food and ingredients for freshness
• Maintaining temperatures (hot and cold) and equipment throughout the shift
• Training and working each station until signed off by Kitchen Manager or Assistant Kitchen Managers
• Cooking during busy times for lunch and dinner
• May need to assist with opening and closing duties
• Ensuring that the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized daily

Requirements:

• Must be mentally alert, detail-oriented with good reasoning skills
• Knowledge of service standards
• Strong organization and active listening skills
• Team player and ability to take orders from managers and leaders efficiently
• Ability to stand and walk for 4-10 hours
• Be able to kneel, stoop, bend, push, shove, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Proactively complete tasks
• Cross-train between food stations
• Wear company-provided uniform
• Perform other duties as assigned
