The Training and Talent Development Director plays a vital role in developing our employees and shaping our work culture. This individual develops training plans for new and existing employees, oversees the recruiting process, and manages performance evaluations. This individual must first successfully complete the Director-in-Training program and be approved by leadership as a Training and Talent Development Director before leading independently in their role. This training experience is comprised of four phases and is founded on Chick-fil-A’s five critical success factors: leadership, talent, customer experience, sales and brand growth, and financial stewardship. The four phases of this program include 1) Heritage, Culture, and Food Safety, 2) Operations, 3) Managing Shifts, and 4) Leading Independently.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and participate in daily operations to ensure excellent customer service is taking place (Note: This is a heavily operational role with 50% or more of time dedicated to operations.)
- Develop and conduct comprehensive training programs for new and existing employees that emphasize Chick-fil-A's culture, values, and service standards
- Oversee recruitment and conduct interviews
- Implement performance management systems including routine evaluations and goal-setting sessions to support the growth and success of employees and the restaurant
- Create and maintain up-to-date training materials and resources for all positions
- Identify areas for employee development and create corresponding training initiatives that enhance skills and knowledge
- Stay-up-to date on Chick-fil-A, Inc. policies, operational requirements, and new or seasonal menu items, ensuring the restaurant's practices are compliant
- Facilitate onboarding for new employees including guiding them through orientation and introducing them to the restaurant's culture and expectations
- Provide training and mentorship to existing leaders, nurturing their skills and preparing them for increased responsibilities within the restaurant
- Address employee concerns and conflicts, mediating discussions and finding resolutions to maintain a positive and productive work environment
- Collaborate with leadership team to align training and talent development initiatives with the restaurant's overall goals, fostering a cohesive and supportive work environment
- Actively participate in bi-weekly leadership meetings
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older upon hire date
- Legally eligible to perform work in the United States
- Education: Associate degree or higher (or equivalent experience in a related field)
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including Saturdays and evenings
- Dedication to providing exceptional service and hospitality
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Ability to provide constructive feedback
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
