Shift Lead (Multiple Openings) - Jersey Mike's Subs (Houston, TX)

Position Overview: Shift Lead (SL) with a new Jersey Mike’s franchise in the River Oaks area of Houston, Texas.

Currently, we’re looking to fill the Shift Lead role to join us as we deliver on this mission. The Shift Lead will ideally grow with us as we continue to open other Jersey Mike’s locations in the Houston area and be poised for continued development, such as working towards an Assistant Manager role. We are currently looking for multiple people for Shift Lead openings. Successful candidates will be required to participate in comprehensive paid Jersey Mike’s training, which will prepare you for your new role.

Job Requirements:

-        Friendly and approachable, you’ll be on the front line greeting customers and introducing them to the Jersey Mike’s brand.

-        Willing to learn the ropes of the quick service industry, which can often be a fast paced environment – but always centered around delivering the best service possible!

-        Able to prepare fast, flawless and tasty sandwiches.

-        Able to take direction and feedback from management, bettering both you and us.

-        Handle payments from customers, accurately and with purpose.

-        Maintain the restaurant to the cleanest standards for our guests. SL will need a food manager certificate (i.e. FoodServ or similar program/certificate valid in TX/City of Houston).

-        Available to work short/long shifts to meet the needs of the lunch and dinner shifts (flexibility is helpful).

- 0-1 year(s) experience in the quick service restaurant industry. 

Job Type: Full-time

Job Salary: Starting $10//hour + tips (increasing to $12/hour + tips after completion of required Shift Lead training)

Number of Openings: Multiple (up to 4 Shift Lead positions currently)

Job Location: New location in the River Oaks area. (Houston, Texas)

Job Shifts: Varies (including morning / evening times)

Previous Experience? 0-1 year(s) of food service experience in a fast paced environment preferable.
