Host Position:
A Host’s duties primarily focus on ensuring the guests have a positive experience as soon as they enter the restaurant. Hosts are responsible for welcoming customers to a food service environment and ensuring that they are seated and receive attentive service. Their duties include maintaining a waitlist of patrons during busy meal service, passing out menus and accepting phone calls.
Job Duties:
- Keeping all work areas clean & organized, re-stocking service stands.
- Addresses complaints promptly in a courteous manner and notifies leadership of any issues.
- Greeting customers as they enter and exit the restaurant.
- Helping guests and guiding them to their table
- Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have.
- Optimizing seating at different tables
- Provides prompt and courteous service and is cordial to all team members and guests.
- Completes all other tasks and duties as assigned.
- Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene standards and policies.
Required Experience:
The person in this position needs to be:
- 17 years of age or older
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Detail oriented with ability to prioritize tasks.
- Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with other staff
- Maintain professional presentation (must adhere to company dress code)
- Ability to think clearly in a fast-paced work environment.
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.
