Kimps Ace Hardware is actively seeking a Paint Associate to deliver exceptional services to our valued customers embarking on painting or staining projects within their homes or businesses.
Essential Functions:
- Warmly welcome and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Fulfill paint and stain orders for customers with precision and attentiveness.
- Provide assistance to customers in selecting color options for their projects.
- Help the customer with the design process
- Ensure customers are equipped with all necessary supplies to successfully complete their projects.
- Perform daily maintenance on tint machines and calibrate spectrometer for accuracy.
- Maintain a well-organized and sanitized paint and decor area.
- Collaborate with other store areas to foster a culture of teamwork and support.
- Update pricing stickers as necessary and uphold the organization of paint, stain, and other supplies.
- Manage supply orders for paint, stains, and related materials.
- Assist in stocking and overstocking paint related products.
- Process customer transactions at the cash register and assist in product order placement.
- Be flexible and willing to learn other tasks.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Availability to work on a weekend rotation.
- Ability to lift over 20 pounds frequently.
- Strong focus on task completion and timely execution.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Willingness to adhere to company policies.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Effective communication skills with both customers and team members.
- Proficiency in phone communication and intermediate computer skills.
