JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for ensure the assigned work areas or equipment is sanitized according to protocol so that production is timely. The incumbent leads other sanitation staff with training and support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Clean and Sanitize food processing equipment

2. Handle chemicals, sanitizers in proper matter.

3. Perform and conduct chemical tests (titration, ppm, etc.)

4. Record all sanitation reports properly.

5. Follow sanitation procedures, safety rules and follow GMP’S

6. Conduct training of sanitation workers and ensure personnel are following SSOP standards.

7. All staff are responsible for Compliance with all GMP, Food Safety and Plant Safety rules while in the processing facility. Staff are encouraged to report Food Safety and Quality concerns immediately to their supervisors and Quality representatives on shift.

8. Other responsibilities as assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. This individual must be self-motivated, have strong leadership skills and work well in a team setting. Excellent oral communication skills are needed to comply with instruction and ensure team accomplishes tasks in a timely manner. Must have completed training in the SQF system.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Ability to routinely lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

2. Be able to perform the above tasks in different working conditions, such as hot and cold environments

3. Medically fit to handle minor exposure to chemical cleaning solutions.

4. Must wear assigned PPE and follow sanitation procedures

5. At least 8 hours on feet standing or walking to work station

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position works in a manufacturing environment with variable temperature and loud noises from machinery and equipment alarms. The incumbent will be exposed to loud noises and alarms from equipment and machinery.
