We are looking for a dedicated, organized dishwasher who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced culinary environment. Your duties include washing dishes and cookware thoroughly and reshelving dishes and cookware for kitchen staff. You may also pitch in and help unload delivery trucks, help prepare cook stations, clean appliances and machines, empty and clean trash receptacles, and other duties, as needed.

To be successful as a dishwasher, you need to be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills. You should be able to prioritize tasks in a busy setting and follow all food safety regulations and procedures.

Dishwasher responsibilities:

• Make clean dishes available by washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, and resetting dining areas.
• Prepare dining areas and kitchen for the next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations.
• Clean machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, pans, mixers, etc.
• Unload and store deliveries, as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors, especially for that items are broken or spilled.
• Take out the trash and rinse garbage cans.
• Support other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
• Report kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.

Dishwasher requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• A strong team player is willing to jump in and help wherever needed.
• Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but not necessary.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts, and lift at least 25 pounds.
• Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.
• Availability to work evenings and on weekends, including holidays.
