Position Overview


Thrillz Danbury is seeking a motivated, high-energy Assistant Manager to help lead daily park operations. This role works closely with the General Manager to ensure a safe, fun, and well-organized experience for guests while supporting and guiding staff on the floor.

The ideal candidate is organized, action-oriented, and comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced entertainment environment. Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills are essential.


Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday (Weekends Required)

Reports To: General Manager

Position Type: Full-Time, Salary


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with opening and closing operations of the park.
  • Help oversee daily floor operations including guest experience, safety, and service.
  • Supervise staff and ensure team members follow safety guidelines and operational procedures.
  • Assist with staff training, onboarding, and coaching to help employees succeed in their roles.
  • Address guest questions, concerns, or complaints and resolve conflicts professionally and efficiently.
  • Support multiple operational areas including front desk, snack bar, redemption station, phones, and party bookings.
  • Troubleshoot basic technology or equipment issues when they arise.
  • Ensure daily operational tasks and safety checks are completed.
  • Help maintain a positive, energetic team environment.
  • Perform other operational duties as needed.


Preferred Qualifications

  • First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Experience with computers, electronics, or basic IT troubleshooting.
  • 1+ year of customer service experience.
  • Experience working with youth and families.
  • Previous experience supervising or managing staff.
  • Comfortable working weekends and evenings.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and POS systems.
  • Hospitality, recreation, or entertainment industry experience.

Education

College experience in a related field preferred but not required.

Experience

  • 1+ year experience in recreation, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
  • Previous leadership or staff supervision experience is strongly valued.
