The Housekeeping Department ensures our 109 cabins are clean, well-maintained, and guest-ready. This includes midweek housekeeping for week-long stays, thorough cleaning between guests, maintaining outdoor cabin areas, managing bedding and cleaning supplies, assisting in the kitchen in the evenings, and handling all in-house laundry.
As a Housekeeping Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience managing people, schedules, inventory, and high standards of cleanliness and service. This is an operational internship, meaning you’ll both perform departmental duties and take on leadership responsibilities. You’ll work alongside our housekeeping managers to run the department while also completing daily cleaning and organizational tasks. We believe a strong understanding of housekeeping is essential for any future hospitality leader.
What You’ll Do
Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
- Assigning and managing housekeeping board tasks
- Cleaning and inspecting cabins
- Coordinating cabin rental items (fridges, fans, etc.)
- Training and supervising staff
- Scheduling and staff management
- Inventory tracking and ordering supplies
- Using our Property Management System (RDP) to generate and interpret reports
