Position: Driver
Responsibilities:
- Operate a box truck (15 foot up to 26 foot trucks) as directed that transports between the facility and multiple destinations. Typical routes are within a 60-mile radius.
- Comply with all safe driving policies and procedures and obey all traffic laws.
- Load, secure, unload and deliver products and cargo in accordance with customer needs and company policies.
- Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery and/or pick-up of goods to ensure timely service.
- Maintain contact with B4U to receive delivery instructions or notices of changes in route or schedule to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
- Responsible for daily inspection of vehicle, ensuring proper function of all safety related features of the vehicle and notifying B4U of any suspected vehicle concerns; refueling as needed.
- Responsible for notifying B4U of any traffic violations or incidences.
- Responsible for notifying B4U of any customer concerns.
- Maintain proper documentation of any product discrepancies on quantity or item.
- Collect payment from customer, when needed.
- Must maintain a clean presentation of driver and vehicle at all times; cleaning inside of truck daily.
- Comply with all company policies, processes and procedures.
- Follow quality standards to assure safety is first.
- Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related goals for results as needed.
- Communicate and cooperate with co-workers, supervisors, customers and vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 25 years of age
- Minimum of 2 years previous related driving experience
- Ability to operate a lift gate and lift or move up to 75 lbs
- Able to operate a forklift and scissor lift (certification not required)
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and the ability to pass a MVR check
- Experience with city driving in tight locations preferred
