Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and maintain standard costing and job costing systems
- Prepare and review cost analysis, variance reporting, and margin analysis
- Partner with operations to monitor production costs, labor, and materials
- Assist with month-end close, including inventory and cost-related journal entries
- Evaluate and improve costing processes and internal controls
- Support budgeting and forecasting related to cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Provide insights to leadership on cost efficiencies and profitability
- Ensure accuracy of inventory valuation and reconciliation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- 7+ years of accounting experience with a focus on cost accounting
- Background in manufacturing or construction required
- Experience with standard costing, job costing, and inventory
- Strong Excel skills including analysis and pivot tables
- ERP system experience preferred
- Demonstrated career stability and solid employment tenure
