Senior Accountant
Location: San Antonio, TX (In Office) No relocation assistance
Seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with minimum five solid years of recent accounting preferably in a lead role. This role will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your attention to detail and strong analytical skills will be essential in this role:
Responsibilities:
- Perform financial analysis and reporting to management
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)- Maintain accurate and complete financial records
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Maintain state registrations, business and tax licenses as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes
- Job Costing / Inventory Accounting
- Provide support during audits
Required :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Proficiency in truly understanding debits and credits
- Experience with financial statement preparation
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
- Ability to analyze complex financial information and provide insights
