Position Summary:
Bindery/Print Finishing is responsible for performing manual finishing tasks to complete printed products according to customer specifications and company quality standards. This position can serve as a great opportunity for increased pay with increased responsibility and promotion to supervisor and management roles. This role requires attention to detail, dexterity, and efficiency in handling a variety of hand bindery processes that support the overall production workflow in a commercial printing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform assembly tasks such as folding, collating, including booklets, brochures, presentation folders, and specialty print projects.
• Inspect printed pieces for quality, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and proper finishing before packaging.
• Assist with kitting and fulfillment projects
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow work orders and instructions to meet deadlines and customer specifications.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in a print or bindery organization not required but manufacturing environment familiarity is beneficial (training provided).
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and as part of a team.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime if needed.
Work Environment:
• This position is based in a print production facility. The work involves standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive hand tasks in a manufacturing setting.
