Janitorial Area Supervisor
Position Summary
The Janitorial area supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring
consistent, high-quality service delivery across all Rolling Hills Industries
(RHI) customer accounts. This position is responsible for conducting detailed
quality inspections, delivering structured training,
managing workforce coverage, and upholding RHI’s operational standards.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and committed to developing
people while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Key Qualifications
- Cleaning Expertise: Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, chemicals, equipment, and safety standards (including proper PPE usage).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and correct even minor service issues to maintain high standards.
- Communication Skills: Capable of delivering clear, constructive feedback to staff and maintaining professional communication with clients.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Able to quickly assess and resolve service discrepancies.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using digital platforms for reporting, inspections, scheduling, and time tracking.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct quality control (QC) inspections across assigned customer accounts.
- Document inspection results and follow-up actions using the Clean Smarts platform.
- Train and retrain new and existing RHI employees on cleaning specifications, chemical usage, equipment operation and maintenance, security protocols, safety standards, and company policies.
- Foster positive working relationships to promote a supportive, team-focused culture.
- Managing coverage during absences to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- Maintain a 40-hour workweek, primarily evening shift.
- Coordinate emergency coverage or provide temporary operational support as needed.
- Assist with staffing plans during shortages or critical service situations
Communication & Reporting
- Reports directly to the VP of Operations (primary) and President (secondary).
- Communicate regularly with employees regarding inspections, training, and shift assignments.
- Participates in weekly operations meetings.
- Utilizes Clean Smarts for time tracking, inspection reporting, and scheduling.
