The Role
We're looking for a polished, driven Technical Outside Sales Representative to join our team. You'll own the full sales cycle — from first consultation through signed agreement — while building and maintaining the kind of long-term client relationships that generate repeat business and referrals. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with real earning potential and room to grow.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities across residential and commercial markets through proactive outreach and industry partnerships
- Maintain and grow relationships with general contractors, builders, engineers, and homeowners to drive repeat business and referrals
- Develop, present, and close proposals tailored to each client’s needs, and maintain a strong pipeline at every stage of the sales cycle
- Lead clients through on-site walkthroughs and virtual overviews as needed, showcasing relevant technology solutions.
- Ensure a high-quality customer experience from first contact through installation, including post-sale communication and seamless handoff to our operations team
- Contribute market insights to leadership and provide guidance to junior sales staff
What We’re Looking For
- Current DCJS Sales licensure, or the ability to obtain it within 60 days of hire
- Proven track record in consultative or B2B sales — experience in low-voltage technology, construction, or a related trade is a strong plus
- Ability to read and mark floorplans to reflect installation locations
- Working knowledge of low-voltage wiring types and contractor/subcontractor relationships
- Excellent communication skills — you can adjust your style for a GC, an engineer, or a homeowner
- Service Fusion experience is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparent, straightforward compensation that rewards results.
- Base Salary: $65,000 annually, ($120k+ OTE)
- Commission: 7% per job, earned at project completion, applied to agreed contract value (excluding builder standard line items and tax). Uncapped.
- Monthly Team Bonus: When the sales team collectively hits monthly revenue thresholds, a bonus pool is distributed proportionally by individual revenue contribution. Jointly closed deals are credited 50/50.
