UMV - Commercial Services Representative

Located within our Northern Lights branch, our Commercial Services Representative is the primary contact for our commercial clients and mail processing function. Our commercial clients communicate directly with our representative via email, phone and in-person for all DMV related matters. The representative also provides critical support to remote and out of state clients that use our mail-in processing option and is a vital team member that provides support to the branch as needed.
A strong candidate will have prior experience relating to DMV processing as a Motor Vehicle Customer Service Representative, bank teller, loan officer or as a car dealership's administrative support.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Running the Commercial Services section of UMV
- Utilizing state DMV databases to accurately and quickly process vehicle and personal credential transactions
- Receiving and responding to client's questions via email, phone and in-person
- Creating invoices and taking payment for services rendered
- Tracking and filing transaction documents
- Completing mail-in transactions for remote and local clients
- Offering additional services to enhance customer experiences
- Be a part of a supportive team of agents and managers

Minimum Qualifications & Physical Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Alaska driver's license or ID
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to navigate multiple computer databases while engaging with clients
- Ability to work on a team and individually
- Type 40 WPM and use 10-key for data entry
- Capable of standing and sitting for long periods and lifting 50 lbs. regularly
- Previous DMV related processing highly desired
Hours:
- Full-time (40-hour week) with potential for overtime
- Office hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Shifts: 8 hours plus a lunch break
Compensation:
- From $26 an hour, depending on experience
- Audit accuracy bonuses
- Incentive bonuses
- Commissions on additional services
- Potential performance bonuses twice per year
Starting base pay will be determined by candidate’s experience, qualifications and state wage requirements.
