Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily groundskeeping operations and supervise seasonal staff with enthusiasm and care.
- Mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs; maintain golf course features including cups and tee markers.
- Perform landscaping, tree trimming, and seasonal clean-up to keep the grounds deliciously inviting.
- Operate and maintain irrigation systems, performing minor repairs as needed.
- Apply pesticides and fertilizers safely (license required or obtained within 3 months).
- Maintain park and campground cleanliness including bathrooms, trails, and shelters.
- Assist with mosquito spraying and support special outdoor events.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance, inspections, and chemical applications.
- Support off-season public works tasks such as snow removal, rink setup, and holiday decorating.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent; 2 years education or training in turf management or related field.
- 1-3 years hands-on groundskeeping experience.
- Valid Minnesota Driver’s License and ability to obtain MN Class B Commercial Driver’s License within 12 months.
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a seasonal team with a positive and enthusiastic approach.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact tactfully with the public and city staff.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather and lift 50+ lbs.
- Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and be on-call as needed.
