Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Liquor Licensing Paralegal to support our corporate compliance and liquor licensing needs. This role will involve managing licenses and permits, preparing and maintaining legal documents, and coordinating with internal clients and external agencies to ensure all requirements are met. While prior liquor licensing experience is preferred, we are willing to train a motivated professional who is eager to learn and confident in tackling new assignments.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
As a Liquor Licensing Paralegal, you will organize and maintain liquor license files, track permits, and ensure compliance with state, county, and municipal requirements. You will prepare, proofread, and maintain legal documents under the guidance of the Legal Manager, while interacting professionally with internal clients to gather information and address inquiries. This role will involve maintaining accurate records and databases, managing billing and invoicing tasks, and supporting administrative functions such as mail, phones, and office supplies. You will collaborate with risk specialists and team members to improve processes, assist with procedure documentation, and ensure all licensing matters are handled with accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality.
What You’ll Bring (Requirements):
- 1+ year of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, secretary, or administrative assistant (required).
- 2+ years of liquor licensing or related clerical/legal support experience preferred.
- Prior experience in a legal setting is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word is required; knowledge of Windows Pro 10/11, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, OneNote, and Excel.
- Knowledge of Avalara or Origami software is a plus.
- College degree preferred.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Professional, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to suggest solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
