Job Description
The Catering Sales Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for catering guests, ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience from initial inquiry through event completion. This role is responsible for coordinating event details, managing changes and special requests, and resolving issues promptly while supporting sales and operational teams to deliver successful events.
Responsibilities
- Order Intake & Management
- Manage all incoming catering orders via:
- Phone
- Online platforms (EZCater, OLO, etc.)
- Respond to all inquiries same day (goal: within 2 hours)
- Accurately enter and confirm orders in OLO
- Ensure each order is maximized, not just processed
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of successful sales experience in catering, hospitality, event sales, or a similar role
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver excellent customer service
- Experience coordinating events, handling client inquiries, and managing multiple bookings simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to manage changes, special requests, and resolve issues effectively
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with culinary, operations, and service teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, scheduling tools, CRM or sales systems preferred)
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
