Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests promptly and create a positive first impression
- Greet and seat guests with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude
- Escort guests to tables and provide menus
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest inquiries efficiently
- Maintain a welcoming and organized entrance area
- Address guest concerns and resolve complaints courteously
- Supervise and support host/hostess team during shifts
- Train new staff on procedures, customer service, and company standards
- Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure seamless service
- Monitor dining room flow and adjust seating to maximize efficiency
- Oversee front-of-house organization, cleanliness, and presentation
- Maintain reservation systems and seating charts
- Ensure host stand is stocked and organized
- Assist with scheduling and shift coverage (in some establishments)
Work Schedule & Environment
- 8-hour shifts with flexible scheduling including day and night shifts
- Availability required for weekends, holidays, and Monday to Friday
- On-site work in a lively and engaging setting
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in customer service
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization and multitasking ability
- Leadership and team coordination skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
