Starting Pay: $15.00 per hour + tips

Job Type: Full-time - Must be able to work Saturdays. This is a daytime job, we are open 9am-5pm. No nighttime shifts are offered.

About Us: Central Meats & Almost Catered has proudly served the Hampton Roads community since 1960, offering top-quality meats and exceptional service. We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Meat Counter Clerk to join our fast-paced retail butcher shop.

Responsibilities:

Provide outstanding customer service at the meat counter
Assist customers with product selections and special requests
Wrap, label, and package meat products accurately
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
Operate in a cold environment (refrigerated meat counter)
Follow all food safety and handling guidelines
Work efficiently during high-volume periods

Requirements:

Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Comfortable standing for extended periods
Available to work Saturdays
Ability to work in a cold environment
High stress tolerance and teamwork skills
Retail or food service experience is a plus
