Central Meats is a family-owned butcher shop serving Chesapeake since 1960. We are hiring a dependable Retail Counter Associate to join our team.

To be considered, you MUST:

• Be available to work EVERY Saturday (8:00am–5:00pm)
• Be available to work at least 24 hours per week
• Have flexible weekday availability
• Understand that consecutive fixed days off (such as Sunday/Monday every week) are not guaranteed

Full-time employees are required to work 40 hours per week.

We do not offer night shifts.

Position Overview

This position is primarily customer service and stocking.

This is NOT a meat cutting position.

You will:

• Assist customers at the meat counter
• Package and restock meat cases
• Carry and stock product from coolers/freezers
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Work in a refrigerated environment

Physical Requirements

• Stand for 8+ hours
• Lift 40–50 lbs consistently
• Use ladders to access cooler/freezer inventory
• Work comfortably in a cold environment
