Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Chief Farmer and Lead Farmer, Installation Team members facilitate the implementation of urban agriculture projects throughout their region.


Tasks and main responsibilities:

The incumbent of this position will be accepting materials of each urban production area, and be responsible for the dispatch of those materials to the defined location of the production zone and responsible for the initial setup of our production zones. 

 

Horticultural management

Transport of materials and plants to the production area.

Carry out the garden openings with the MicroHabitat team during the installation period.

Ensure cleanliness is kept and maintained during installations.

Carry out all other tasks related to the installation of the area (watering, tying the tomato plants, installation of tutor systems, watering system.

Representation and administration

Represent the company as a member of the installation team.

Perform all other related tasks related to the establishment of production areas.

Follow and maintain security protocols that affect MicroHabitat farming operations.


Schedule for applications and entry into position:

- Application period (April 10th - May 1st, 2024)

- Training May 13, 2024 starting at 9:00 AM.

- Installation work begins May 14th at 8:00 AM.

- Must be available May 13th and Monday to Friday from 8:00AM to 6:00PM between May 14th and May 21st (or until installations are complete), 2024.



Salary and Benefits:


Salary: $ 23 / hour

Paid lunch of 30 minutes / day

Bonus: $ 150 bonus paid at the end of the installation period to compensate for your personal displacements and parking throughout the city during the installation period.


Skills sought:


Must be in good physical shape

 Must have access to a personal vehicle or personal transport. 

 Must have a functional cell phone 

 Must have an interest for agriculture or gardening
