Job Overview:
We’re seeking a motivated, experienced secretary to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of recent litigation experience. Insurance defense is desirable. A partial remote schedule is offered after an initial period in the office. The ideal candidate has solid communication skills, is well-organized, detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to handling their workload. Dependability and reliability are crucial for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist attorneys in preparing, finalizing, serving and filing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
· Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files, ensuring that all relevant documents are accurately electronically filed and easily accessible.
· Prepare and manage correspondence, including emails, letters, and other written communications to clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
· Assist in trial preparation.
· Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases as needed.
· Calendar filing deadlines and court dates, ensuring deadlines are met.
· Perform other administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3 years litigation experience as a Legal Secretary.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools.
· Strong understanding of State and Federal court processes, including e-filing, court rules, forms, calendaring, pleadings, discovery procedures and trial preparation.
· Familiarity with legal terminology, processes, and documentation.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
· Solid writing and proofreading skills.
· Strong work ethic and takes ownership and pride in work.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with competitive compensation and benefits. The pay range for this position is starting
at $70,000 and will increase depending on experience.
