Prep Team Member

Job Summary:

The Prep Team Member is responsible for preparing high-quality food ingredients and products in a safe, clean, and efficient manner. This role ensures that the kitchen is fully stocked and ready to support food production throughout the day.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow Chick-fil-A recipes and procedures to prepare ingredients such as fruits, vegetables, salads, and sauces.
  • Maintain stock levels of prep items by accurately labeling and dating food.
  • Monitor freshness and discard expired items following food safety standards.
  • Clean and sanitize prep stations, equipment, and tools throughout the shift.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., ServSafe guidelines).
  • Accurately rotate inventory (FIFO) and alert leaders to low or missing items.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and leadership teams to meet daily goals.
  • Uphold Chick-fil-A’s standards of excellence and core values in all tasks.


Qualifications:

  • Must be 16 years or older.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
  • Willingness to learn and follow Chick-fil-A standards.
  • Previous kitchen or prep experience is a plus but not required.


Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand for extended periods (6+ hours).
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Comfortable working in cold prep and warm kitchen environments.


Schedule & Availability:

  • Flexible availability including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prep shifts typically start early as early as 530 am.
