We are looking for an assistant manager who has been an El Pollo Loco Shift Leader or has 2 years supervisory experience within a restaurant environment. The Assistant Manager must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.

Requirements:

• Great interpersonal, communication, and resolution skills.
• Good English written and verbal communication skills. A second language is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Good observation skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Computer literate and basic Math skills.
• An ability to identify team weaknesses and provide coaching where necessary.
• Food Handler Card: Must have a Serve Safe Certificate or we will help you get one. Then pass the Food Safety Audit class when hired.

Responsibilities:

• Cooperate with the general manager, and assist with anything from project planning to staff management.
• Nurture positive working relationships with team.
• Delegate daily tasks.
• Address any issues in a timely fashion.
• Ensure restaurant operations comply with El Pollo Loco procedures and standards
• Ensure all menu items are prepared, portioned and presented correctly in a clean, safe and sanity manner according to all established procedures and standards.
• Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance with government standards.
• Open and close the restaurant according to standards.
• Train and develop team members.
• Create and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
• Maintain cost controls and grow sales and profits.
• Set a good example for the team.
