Americare Behavioral Health - Community Mental Health Clinician Position Available!
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Community Mental Health Clinician to join our Behavioral Health team. The Community Mental Health Clinician is responsible for delivering intensive, family-centered therapy services to youth with significant emotional and behavioral needs and their families. Services are provided in the home and community with the goal of improving family functioning, enhancing communication, and reducing the need for inpatient or out-of-home placements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the youth and family.
- Provide in-home and community-based therapy sessions focused on skill-building, crisis management, and family stabilization.
- Offer psychoeducation, clinical guidance, and support to families in navigating systems and services.
- Supervise and collaborate with assigned TT&S staff to ensure fidelity to the treatment plan.
- Monitor client progress, revise treatment goals as needed, and ensure appropriate documentation and compliance with agency and state standards.
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Maintain up-to-date clinical records and submit documentation in a timely manner.
- Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as necessary.
- Maintain cultural sensitivity and work with diverse populations using trauma-informed practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services field.
- Licensure or license-eligible (LMHC, LICSW, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) in the state of Massachusetts.
- CANS Certification required and may be obtained after hired.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the community.
- Experience utilizing Electronic Health Record preferred
- Computer proficiency required
Preferred:
- At least 1–2 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
- Experience with CBHI services, wraparound models, or other community-based clinical work.
- Bilingual (Spanish)

- Services are provided in homes, schools, and community settings.
- Flexible schedule required, including some evenings and weekends.
- Must be comfortable with travel and working in diverse environments.
