Opus 9 Steakhouse is looking for a professional, polished Host who can hustle! We’re a busy, upscale steakhouse, and our Host plays a critical role in keeping service organized, welcoming guests, and helping the entire team stay on pace.

We need someone who is confident, personable, computer-savvy, and quick to respond when things get busy. You must be able to juggle reservations, phones, waitlists, guest questions, and seating coordination without losing your smile or attention to detail.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Welcome guests with confidence, warmth, and a polished, professional manner.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating efficiently during busy service periods.
• Use reservation software to coordinate seating and maintain an accurate flow of guests.
• Answer phones promptly and handle guest questions with courtesy.
• Communicate constantly with servers and management to keep tables turning smoothly.
• Keep guests informed about wait times and help them feel comfortable during busy periods.
• Stay alert to the dining room, anticipate needs, and adjust quickly as situations change.
• Keep the host stand organized, clean, and ready for service.
• Balance multiple responsibilities while maintaining a calm, welcoming attitude.

WHAT WE NEED

• A polished, professional presence suited to an upscale steakhouse.
• The ability to hustle and stay productive during high-volume service.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn restaurant technology quickly.
• OpenTable experience is a definite plus.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
• Confident communication and a friendly, guest-focused attitude.
• Dependability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• The ability to stay composed, think ahead, and solve problems on the fly.
• A team-first attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Previous hosting, restaurant, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
