As a talented Pharmacist PRN, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with regulations, dispensing medications, and enhancing the patient experience. Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient drug therapies and advise on interventions.
- Provide patient counseling as required by law.
- Complete operational pharmacy requirements, including maintaining records and managing inventory.
- Supervise pharmacy staff and ensure adherence to legal regulations.
- Administer immunizations or vaccines as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned within scope.
Required Skills and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of dosage requirements and pharmaceutical brands.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy software.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Effective in handling sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Doctorate in pharmacy or pharmacology.
- Proven experience as a pharmacist.
- Valid license to practice as a pharmacist in Texas.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Work Environment
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens: Level 3 (Low).
- Moderate noise level.
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 25 pounds and frequent standing and talking.
