What You’ll Do

As a Specialties Patient Service Specialist, you will be the welcoming voice and smiling face guiding patients through their specialty care journey. You will:

• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and community partners
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all MyCHN policies regarding PHI
• Professionally manage high‑volume calls and document interactions accurately
• Assist patients with questions; route advanced concerns to leadership
• Schedule and confirm specialty appointments for multiple locations
• Review and update patient charts, documents, and portal information
• Communicate co‑pay, deductible, and insurance details
• Reconcile payments and maintain an accurate cash drawer
• Thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative healthcare environment
• Travel throughout the Houston area as needed to support specialty clinic operations

What You Bring

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask, problem‑solve, and stay organized
• Comfort working with diverse patient populations
• Basic computer/office equipment skills
• Willingness and ability to travel within the Houston area

Preferred:

• Bilingual: English & Spanish
• Medical or dental front office experience

• Reports To: Associate Director of Specialties
• Location: MyCHN Clinics across Greater Houston
• Exposure Level: Bloodborne Pathogens – Level 1 (High)
