The Prep Cook plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation by preparing ingredients, assembling prep menu items, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This position supports the kitchen team by ensuring prep items are prepared on time and completely, assisting with dishes and cleaning as required, ensuring product quality and freshness, and upholding Chick-fil-A’s commitment to excellence in food safety and service.
NOTE: This is for Prep Team Member position
Responsibilities:
We are looking for applicants who exhibit the following qualities:
- Prepare food to exact procedural standards
- Food Preparation: Wash, chop, and prepare produce, proteins, and other ingredients according to Chick-fil-A standards and recipes.
- Station Setup: Ensure all prep stations are fully stocked and ready for service periods.
- Inventory and Rotation: Label, date, and store food properly following FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
- Cleanliness & Sanitation: Keep prep areas, coolers, and storage organized and clean. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety
- Assist with dishwashing for prep dishes and those from other parts of the kitchen
- Assist with other tasks as requested by leaders

Applicants will also be expected to be able to work on their feet for several hours at a time and lift potentially heavy objects when necessary. Prior experience is preferred, but not necessary.
