Job Summary:
The Detroit Lakes Community and Cultural Center (DLCCC) is seeking a Seasonal Evening Front Desk Representative to join our team for 10–12 weeks. This position is responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing exceptional customer service to members, prospective members, and guests.
This seasonal position works Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Weeknight availability is required. After the seasonal staffing need has been met, employees may have the opportunity to continue working occasional weeknight shifts and a steady rotation of weekend shifts, based on business needs and performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet members, prospective members, and guests while providing exceptional customer service.
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer questions, concerns, and comments.
- Answer phones in a friendly and professional manner.
- Check in members and assist with new member enrollments.
- Stay current on program offerings, schedules, and facility information.
- Attend Front Desk meetings.
- Schedule court reservations, classes, and other appointments as needed.
- Process daily point-of-sale (POS) transactions.
- Update member account information accurately.
- Respond promptly and professionally to member questions and concerns, escalating issues to the Front Desk Supervisor or Manager when appropriate.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the front desk and facility.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Front Desk Supervisor.
Desired Qualifications:
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of POS systems is a plus.
- Enjoys working with people and creating positive experiences.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Positive, upbeat attitude with a passion for customer service.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work professionally with members, guests, and coworkers.
- Dedicated to the success of the facility.
- Maintains a professional appearance and wears appropriate attire.
Position Details:
- Seasonal position lasting 10–12 weeks.
- Evening schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–10:00 PM.
- Weeknight availability is required.
- Opportunity to continue with occasional weeknight shifts and a steady rotation of weekend shifts after the seasonal assignment ends.
- This is an at-will position.
- Reports directly to the Front Desk Supervisor.
